We had a great turnout this year! The Machado School Heritage Society has an annual old-fashioned picnic each year in May just before Memorial Day. In recent years we have been joined by the Valle Del Sur antique car club who arrive with an array of vintage autos for all to see. We also have antique tractors and other farm equipment on display. We have a country BBQ with all the fixins. The "Old Men of the Mountain" provide Bluegrass music. The Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation Center educates and entertains young and old alike with various unreleasable animals such as an owl, falcon, snake and other local critters. For the kids we end with a three-legged sack race and a tug-of-war. It's lots of fun for young and old-timers alike.
